We had a trouble free ride to Kristina's house near Dover where we stopped for a coffee and andy had bacon butties. Upon returning to the car we noticed it was still leaking gearbox oil, so we decided it would be fine until Rouen. We then headed into Calais, where i managed to get it wrong and drive on the left for a breif period before getting shouted at, heheheee.
From Calais we headed down into Rouen to get parked up for the night and have a look around, and what a lovely place by the way. Next morning around 7.30am was when the fun started, I got a phone call from Kristina saying the car was being towed by the police, to start with I laughed it off, then after being convinced it was true I had a wander down to see.....it was true and the car was on the back of a truck. After much walking to find the police station, we eventually managed to get the car back about 30 minutes before the start.
We made the start and headed of towards La Rochelle, had a cracking nice ride down, and Andy had his first experience of driving on the right on some motorways (so far no one has volunteered to drive into and out of the towns yet).
We arrived at San Sebastian in Spain last night, where it was cold and raining, not nice weather to camp in but we have coped ok. Andy is still asleep but getting woken up at this moment by Laura. Well I'm gonna go and get sorted, have breakfast, pull the tent down and check the gearbox oil level then we'll head off about 10 or 11 ish.
I'll put a bit more on when we get more wireless. : )
